Symposium and Workshops

The symposium and workshops will be held at at Campus de Gualtar of Universidade do Minho located in Braga.

On Monday, 30th September, the workshops will take place at Departamento de Informatica, a white building on the north (and also the higher) side of the campus. From 1st October, the Symposium will take place in CP2, a building near the entrance of the campus. Both places are depicted in the map below.

Hotels

There are several hotels near the Campus that we can recommend: Melia, Hoteis do Bom Jesus, Albergaria Senhora-a-Branca and Hotel de Lamacaes

If booking directly with one of these hotels state that you will be attending SRDS 2013 to benefit from special rates. Let us know if you need help with booking.

Travel Info

Braga is served by the Porto international airport (OPO) at 60Km. OPO has daily direct flights to and from several european cities such as Lisbon, Madrid, London, Geneva, Frankfurt, Zurich, Amsterdam, Lyon, Brussels and Milan.
From OPO to Braga there is a direct bus every two hours. Alternatively, should you wish to go through Porto, there is a direct subway connection to the city center at the airport. Then, from Campanha (both subway and train station) there are several daily fast trains to Braga.

Visa Information

We would be happy to send you a visa support letter if you need one to attend SRDS. However, note that we can send you the letter only after you have registered. Please email srds@di.uminho.pt with the following details:

  1. Name
  2. Email address
  3. Mailing address (the letter will have this address on it)
  4. Mention whether you are going to present a paper. If so please also send the title of your paper.
  5. Let us know how you want us to send the letter: (i) Fax: Please send us your fax number or (ii) by email: We will send a scanned PDF of the letter.
